We enjoyed a fun morning going to our favorite grocery store, and visiting the ducks at the duck pond! Josiah was very intersted in the ducks and wanted to grab them when they got close. Ellie kept calling the big white ones "Puddleducks" (from Beatrix Potter's Jemima Puddleduck!) and chasing them. The ducks, and even Ellie, seemed to enjoy the stale bread. Yes, Ellie ate the stale bread - if it is edible, that child will eat it... The day before we got a "new book in the mail from Dolly Parton" (aka "Imagination Library") which was a new version of The Gingerbread Man. So, we also purchased some gingerbread man cookies and a peach selzer (so yummy!). We read the story again, and then ate the gingerbread man all up!! Fun times! :)
